Samantha (Denman) McAdams is a 30 year-old new mom to a 2 month-old baby girl (Mickey), a wife, a teacher, a sister, a daughter, and a friend. She is currently in critical condition the NeuroICU in Pittsburgh after she suffered multiple strokes and a brain bleed. Out of respect for the family and Samantha, I will keep this brief.
Samantha had recently been experiencing debilitating headaches which led her to multiple emergency room visits and eventually a recent hospital stay. Fortunately, the cause was found for her headaches/numbness and she underwent a surgery to correct it. This initially was successful but then Samantha suffered more strokes and a brain bleed. She remains stable in the hospital in the ICU unable to speak or move some her extremities.
We have full faith that she will continue to progress daily and recover from this. She is strong and her baby girl, her husband, her family and her friends will continue to provide the motivation and stimulation she needs in this recovery.
Unfortunately, hospital stays are not free and other bills do not stop coming in. Samantha's husband, Matt, is being the best husband possible and is off of work currently providing Samantha the love and care she needs daily. Any amount of money you can provide is one less stress the family has to worry about during this difficult time. Prayers and positive thoughts are greatly appreciated as well.
As the doctors have said, this will be a "marathon" that Samantha has to take step by step and day by day; but remember, slow and steady wins the race. :)
