SLCD Memories All money raised will go directly to The School for Language and Communication Development (SLCD) Elementary, Middle, and High School. Therefore, all donations are 501c tax deductible.
SLCD Mission Statement:
At SLCD, our mission is to identify children with language and autism spectrum disorders early to provide educational programs which will prepare them for a world filled with words, sentences, stories and messages. Language is a symbol system; it provides the means to reach out to the world. It is the most important skill that a child must learn early in life. Language provides the foundation for socializing, reading, questioning, writing and thinking.
The Coordinators of Student Activities (COSA) Mission Statement:
The Coordinators of Student Activities committee oversees the implementation of all school social events such as dances, shows, assemblies, and fundraising events to promote the School for Language and Communication Development's motto, “Giving Our Children a Voice.” COSA committee members will facilitate the Leadership Program geared to strengthen and provide hands on experience in our student’s life skills, character building, and vocational classes. COSA encourages all students to be involved and responsible for the operation and execution of all school events.
Memories:
We are launching “Memories,” a campaign with a goal to raise $15,000 to help fund this year’s social and extracurricular activities in all three school buildings. Our goal is to provide our students with fun filled memories throughout their educational career at SLCD. Please give our students the opportunities to build great memories by making a donation.
