STEVEN JOSEPH was once outgoing and productive. He worked decades in media, broadcasting and public relations.
Life changed dramatically in 2007, when driving his car, flashing road signs started to cause Steven to feel dizzy and nauseous. When driving in rain or at night, oncoming headlights became unbearable as Steven's mind perceived all vehicles with having high-beams turned on. Additionally, stores and other crowded areas became audibly overwhelming.
The intense sound and light sensitivity, coupled with involuntary hand motions, led to Steven being diagnosed with adult Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It is not yet known what caused these changes.
AUTISM TMI
The National Autistic Society UK has coined a phrase for this sensory-overload experience: Autism Too Much Information (AutismTMI) [See Video Here]. In an attempt to cope with the pain that comes from Autism TMI, Steven spends most of his time at home, secluded, away from the over-stimulating outside world.
Steven also suffers from attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anxiety and a major depressive disorder. Physical challenges include exhaustion from ulcerative colitis, degenerative discs in his spine causing numbness in extremities, and his vision is limited.
FINANCES
Steven doesn't have a regular source of income. His Social Security Disability Insurance claim has the support of his health-care practitioners, yet his first claim has been denied. Steven is seeking a lawyer to file a second claim. Your help today is very much needed and appreciated.
