SIBL Baseball / Softball
Board of Directors inherited a league that suffered from years of mismanagement and blatant fraud resulting in tens of thousands of dollars being diverted away from the girls ASA Fastpitch the boys Pony League.
The fields and facilities are, as a result, a shadow of what they once were when the league boasted near 1000 boys and girls participants. We are requesting the assistance of the public in this matter to complete the resurrection of this once proud league.
Funds are needed as soon as now in order to provide the community's youth with safe baseball, softball fields as well as the respective facilities that accompany such as bleachers, restrooms and snack bars.
The Board of Directors is comprised of many former board members who responded to the call when the need became apparent. There are also many upcoming members that will be tasked with sustaining the operation.
It is our intent to get the most of every dollar we are entrusted with and our duty to transparently account for the same.
The fields and facilities for the most part sit stagnant yet the operational costs continue.
This is a great opportunity for a big ticket sponsor to get in on the ground floor. Smaller donors welcome as well.
I realize there is a bit of an issue having my first name being one of the first things a potential donor might see. I am working to have this changed.
This is a SIBL only function. Funds generated are used for the maintenance and upkeep of the fields. Only the league president can withdraw funds.
Since my name is on the marquee, a few words : I arrived at SIBL last November because I liked the comeback story it is building. I was previously a volunteer/board member at Mission Hills Little League and later Northridge ASA programs. This year I put in over 100 hours of volunteer time on primarily the Colt field but many hours on the girls and most recently the boys Mustang and Bronco fields for the tournament that is now in progress.
A: Sorry on two points; one - these funds go to the league. Two- all star money goes to the team.
