Set Her Free Fundraiser

This charity is near and dear to my heart as I've witnessed firsthand the unfathomable hardships these young women face every day. 

In Uganda, extreme poverty plagues the citizens and cripples the growth and opportunities of the population. Women’s choices are constrained and many turn to commercial sex work, believing it to be their only financially viable option; still more girls remain vulnerable to exploitation, living in close proximity to urban slum brothels. 

Set Her Free, a non-profit based in some of Kampala’s poorest communities, was founded on a simple belief: that these young women and girls deserve the right to self-determination—to a life of choice. Since 2011, the organization has empowered hundreds of Uganda’s most vulnerable adolescents with everything that they need to reclaim their agency and realize their potential.
