SAMRA Rail Heritage Museum
We are a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to educating the public and promoting an awareness of the historical significance of railroads in the development of Texas and the United States. Our museum showcases a model railroad which is open to the public free of charge. We engage in providing merit badge clinics to Boy Scouts of America and educational tours to the community. Since the model railroad layout and our library takes up most of our available space, we are in need to expand our building in order to provide space for displaying railroad memorabilia, a multi-media room and work space for maintaining the layout. Additional space would allow us to provide more services to the community, educate larger groups about our railroad heritage and accommodate bigger Boy Scout groups. You can learn more about us on our website at www.samratx.org.
