Ryan has inspirationally battled and waged against Angiosarcoma for a near decade, overcoming again and again as Angiosarcoma pushed back. The most recent scans showed the recent mass was aggressively growing and a new lesion found deeper. He has also experienced seizures the past three days that do not have a clear cause besides a body battle worn and weary.

One of the things not often discussed is the daily battle of pain caused by fighting cancer so hard. Odd things. Unexpected things. Ryan's daily struggle was his back, and has been for almost two years. His spine has been scanned and checked but the origin never figured out. It recently increased to becoming intense, and something he just wrestled with silently. The pain is now severe enough to restrict movement, sleep and possibly be a contributing cause of the seizures.

A Craniotomy would not fix this pain, reach the deeper lesion and would not change the relentless aggression of the most recent masses. The gift of hospice, however, gives the comfort and relief he needs, and deserves, after such a long journey. At this time he is in and out of awareness yet when he is aware he brings a chuckle to those sitting near him with jokes and continued reassurance of love - because that's who Ryan is. We are grateful for the gift of so many extra years with him, and so thankful we can surround him with love in return.

Many of you have followed Ryan's journey over the past 8 years. Some have had the fortune to meet him. Most have not. Regardless, we all love him the same. He had a way of caring for people no matter how near or far they were - if you were family or if you were a stranger.

If you would like to read more about his journey - a link will be available soon. He was very open and willing to share for many years, until the time came that he put 100% of his energy into spending time with his two boys.

As many of you know, because of unfortunate timing, Ryan does not have life insurance. His biggest fear has always been to leave his wife, Andrea, and their two boys with a mound of debt for medical costs. Over the past years, there has been overwhelming support shown by many of you, and as we have promised Ryan, the time has come that he needs our help the most. As he spends his final days with his family - lets help take some of the burden from his mind, and the shoulders of his loved ones, and raise as much money as we can to help with his medical, hospice and eventual funeral costs. Should there be any funds leftover, they will go into a college fund for Landon & Logan.

Even if you are unable to give a monetary gift at this time, please share this page with your friends and loved ones. Lift Ryan and his family up in prayer - for comfort and guidance. For peace. Ryan has fought a good fight, and it's time for him to rest and relax.

We love you Ryan.

Hello all of the amazing people who love, support and continue to pray for Ryan. He is in Houston this evening awaiting Gamma Knife #5 tomorrow.

On April 26th, Ryan and Andrea made the trip down to Houston to get a follow up scan done on his brain. It showed a new spot, which will be getting treated tomorrow.

Please take a moment to read his recent post, and share this with your friends, family, coworkers, etc. We need all the prayers and positive thoughts we can find out in our social media network!

Thank you in advance, and God bless each and every one of you.

Last week Ryan had scans in Houston, and he has heard back from his doctor(s). Dr. Ravi, in reference to him reaching out to an expert in diagnostic radiology, has passed on feedback that his colleague said:
"Reviewed early studies going back to 2-5-14 and patient has initial lesion consistent with brain metastasis and foci of hemorrhage and later developed other similar lesions.
These are consistent with angiosarcoma but not specific.
However, with no other tumor presenting itself during this time then need to fall back on metastatic angiosarcoma even though unusual.
I don’t see anything that would suggest infection or parasites thus left with metastasis."

In other words, our glimmer of hope that this is anything other than the devil disease (angiosarcoma has been shattered.

With this, Gammaknife #4 is a go for this Friday! The only uncertain thing at this time for surgery is whether they will be treating 1, 2, or 3 spots.

Thank you for your continued support with prayers, text, calls, emails and donations. Just when we though this fight was nearing its end, here we are again. We all hold on to the hope that Ryan will defeat this, and with the support and love from each one of you, there's no doubt!

I invite you to follow his blog at www.nobodyfightsalone.com and please share this with all the people you know and love. The more prayers, the better!

It has been ONE YEAR since we all waited anxiously while Ryan underwent a craniotomy in Houston. I remember the day like it was yesterday as his family and I sat in the waiting room together and awaited updates from the doctor.

Less than 2 weeks ago, he had 3 scans done, and in each one of those scans, the same results: NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE!!!

God is so good, especially to Ryan, Andrea and the boys. In this past year they have been able to ENJOY each other - camping, celebrating birthdays and their 8th wedding anniversary and so much more!

His fight still continues, though he lives every day to the fullest. Please keep him in your prayers for God to keep his body free of any disease. Pray for Andrea and the boys to be free of anxiety and worry of what the next scans will bring. Surround their entire family with nothing but love, joy and blessings for the days, months and years to come.

Thank you all for your past and continued support!

This photo was taken a week ago at Ryan & Andrea's friends' wedding. It was a perfect evening for just the two of them to celebrate life and love.

Yesterday, June 3, 2015, Ryan received CLEAR scans from both his MRI and PET scan! Praise the Lord!! They can finally smile their beautiful smiles, and continue enjoying their time as a family.

What's next? Ryan's amazing medical team is making a plan for prevention and treatment. We will be sure to keep you all updated as we learn more.

But for now, Ryan asked to send an update and a huge THANK YOU to each one of you for all of your prayers and support over the past couple of years.
