Rosemarie Allouche - Gunning

By Sanford DiDonna on behalf of
Peter & Rosemarie Allouche-Gunning and Children.

For all those who know Rosemarie personally this story is held close to your hearts.

I have known Rosemarie for almost 20 years. I was her "Man of Honor" at her wedding and am Godfather to her eldest son, Jonathan.

As many of you know Rosemarie's midwestern upbringing, love of dance, fine and creative arts, exploring and travel only enhanced her natural joie de vivre.

Her kindness and generosity is ceaseless and abounding.

Rosemarie's talent for cosmetic arts and hair led her to the Vidal Sasoon Academy and shortly moved her around from San Diego, Chicago and eventually, New York City, where we met and eventually became flat mates and life-long friends for going on 20 odd years.

One day Rosemarie met Peter on a blind date and He would eventually become her Husband and Father of their two sons, Jonathan and Thomas.

Jonathan was diagnosed with Severe Non Verbal Autism and their second son, Thomas, was diagnosed with higher functioning Autism.

Through all of this Rosemarie and Peter carried on and managed to create moments of joy for each other, their children, friends and extended family.

Rosemarie, worked vigorously day and night in obtaining Social Services for their children and finally had received notification that their eldelst son Jonathan was accepted into a scool for children with severe autism.

Her youngest, Thomas has been doing well in his local school's special education program for autistic children.

Rosemarie Allouche-Gunning has always been a fierce advocate for her children, interested in politics and  the Arts , now, she is in the fight of her life.

On Christmas Eve 2016, Rosemarie was informed that her mother had passed away but was unable to attend the services in Florida due to her constant fatigue and overall not feeling well.

After several weeks of feeling ill Rosemarie went to her doctor for a check-up and was advised that it was fatigue from "motherhood and parenting." Rosemaries's instinct drove her to seek a second opinion.

Shortly thereafter Rosemarie was diagnosed with Stage-4 Ovarian Cancer and learned it had spread to various parts of her body as well.

Although she is receiving  agressive chemotherapy the cancer continues to spread.

Through all this, Rosemarie has persevered with strength and dignity.

However, medical bills continue to pile up into the 6-figure range and add to their already burdened financial stresses of caring for two boys with autism.

Please find it in your heart to contribute to Rosemarie's mounting Medical and daycare bills.

Thank you for taking the time to read and I hope you can help assist this beautiful family through this challenging and very uncertain time in their lives.

Just think the donation you give today is an investment in Rosemaries Life , as well as, Peter and their Sons.

Thank you,

Rosemarie, Peter, Jonathan Thomas,
and me!
