Lawyer Embezzled Our MONEY *HELP save our home*

Donation protected
Nine years ago, the nightmare began.  My father, Roger Altis, had his second heart attack and was facing quadruple heart bypass surgery.  Little did my mother, Marcia Altis know, but that her life was instantly changed.
THE BACKSTORY: We owned and operated a family business known as RCcA Well Service.  Unfortunately, the extensive medical bills, prescriptions, follow-up appointments and medical equipment needed for my dad began to financially impact my parents.  The decision to file bankruptcy was the only option that made sense.  We hired an attorney, Chris O'Brien, from Wichita, KS.  He advised us that if we sold our oil lease, he could clear all debt.  So, without a doubt, we said "Let's Do It."  Bankruptcy proceedings take time, so in the meantime, bills are still piling up for both personal and the company.  The lease gets sold for approximately $350,000.00.  The attorney advised us it would be held in a trust fund until disbursements were ordered through bankruptcy court to be paid.  Time is of the essence, and the IRS closes in on unpaid taxes for the business.  A decision was made to close the doors to our family business of 7 years.  A sale was rendered and $132,000.00 was raised.  Again, our attorney advised he was holding the money in a trust fund waiting on the bankruptcy court to order the disbursement of funds.
THE HEARTBREAK: We kept receiving notices about taxes and calling the courts trying to figure out why they were not disbursing the funds.  After months, we finally got an answer.  Chris O'Brien EMBEZZLED ALL OUR MONEY!  So, we still have the IRS wanting paid and we have just sold everything!  Our options were to hire an attorney to fight it, but everyone knows you have to have a down payment to hire an attorney.  Luckily for us, after months of consultations, we finally found an attorney willing to help us out.   Our new attorney has been working diligently to clear out the bankruptcy and pay all creditors, including the IRS, with money recovered from the Kansas Bar Association for O'Brien's actions.  While this is great news that the ball is finally rolling, it isn't rolling fast enough.   A lien was placed on my parent's home.   Due to the length of time this bankruptcy has been drawn out, personal property taxes have been tied up and went unpaid.  As a person could imagine, the amount of stress this process has caused my father's already failing heart and my mother's health, has been traumatic.  The many trips in and out of the hospital with health problems that I truly believe have stemmed from STRESS.
THE ISSUE: The county of Greenwood has placed a lien on my parent's residence and it will be foreclosed on at a Sheriff's Tax Sale in approximately 30 days.  It is very depressing to know that everything my parents ever worked for has been ripped from their hands, including the roof over their heads if they can't pay the personal property taxes owed within the next 30 days.
THE PRAYER:  My parents and I pray that we can one day understand how Chris O'Brien could be so selfish.  How he could embezzle our money knowing the extent of my father's health condition.  We pray that we can figure out a way to keep their home; the place I was raised; the place their grand kids love to go!
THE REQUEST:  My parents and I plead for help at this time of need.  They are not the asking kind, in fact, they have always given to others even if it meant they had to go without.  Please, if you can, help us keep their home.  We have approx. 30 days to pay $26,000.00 before their home will be sold. If you can't make a donation to help, please say a prayer.   We can't express how grateful we are for you.  Thank you and we appreciate your prayers.
