Riley’s Heart Worm Treatment

On 5/28/18 we had our routine visit to the vets office for our Riley. She was so good and playful even after getting all her shots. Things quickly changed when the Vet walked in after doing blood work and informed us that Riley has heart worms. As many might know, heart worm can be deadly if not treated right away. Lucky for us the Vet assumes it is in the beginning stages. Riley will still need treatment which takes about 6 months to a year long with X-rays and multiple vet visits.
You might know Joe and Amanda through work, Recycles Paws Rescue or even Rustic Paws Designs. If you know us you know we are not the ones to ask for handouts we rather give a helping hand. With cost of treatment so incredibly high we need to ask for help from you.
Riley is our world. She is our heart, our soul, our happiness. She is spunky and incredibly loving. Everyone who meets her falls in love. She is incredibly smart and willing to learn. Of course unless there are birds or squirrels around. We met Riley through a rescue that Amanda eventually volunteered for. She was our first foster pup but after a few short hours we were in love and we knew we couldn’t give her up. She is our love and our first born! We still continued to foster and she was the pups mother figure even while being only 6 months old. She checked on them every morning and before she went to bed. Any little cry she was with them making sure they were okay. She is honestly the best pup we have ever had.
