Rich's and Tracy's Kick Cancer Fund

Donation protected

My name is Lauri. Richard is my brother-in-law and Tracy is his wife. Tracy had a regular mammogram in August and was told everything was fine. A couple months later she noticed things didn't seem right but  couldn't get in to see her doctor until right before Thanksgiving. At Tracy's appointment her doctor called in a surgeon and breast expert and they did a biopsy right then. She received a phone call later telling her she has inflammatory ductal carcinoma. IBC accounts for 1-5% of all breast cancers in the U.S. It is rare as well as aggressive. She is currently receiving chemo treatments and will need a radical mastectomy followed by radiation. But this can't be done unless her chemo treatments are effective, which won't be determined until the chemo is completed. Her last chemo will be on March 17th. She has been a trooper in battling the sickness that comes with each treatment. Her bald head is beautiful. Richard shaved his head to show support.

Richard went for a physical around the same time Tracy received her diagnosis and was told everything looked fine. A week later he was told his PSA level was high. After a 2nd blood draw the PSA level was even higher. The urologist confirmed a mass and a subsequent biopsy confirmed prostate cancer. The cancer has not spread to the bones (great news) and he will be having surgery on Feb. 11th. It was clearly a hard thing to hear, especially after just finding out about his wife Tracy.

Tracy was working a full time job and is currently unable to work. With chemo, surgeries and radiation, the money will go to help with the mounting medical costs and lost wages.

Rich and Tracy are some of the most caring, fun loving people you will ever meet! Not to mention that Tracy is a wonderful cook! They are both still very young,  56 and 53 and still have a lot to live for. They have raised two wonderful children that are still in college. They are doing everything they can to stay positive with a sense of humor. They are eating a largely plant-based diet as well to help.

We would appreciate any donations you can give at this time to help ease their burden while they both try to deal with their own and each other's cancer.

They have many wonderful family members and friends and are very grateful for the support they receive. We are asking for your prayers and love as they both battle this horrible disease! Go Rich and Tracy...fight....fight....fight!!!
