Reunite a Family

Donation protected
It all started when a young Cincinnati man joined the US Marines and deployed to Guam in 1984. He waved goodbye to his family (Mom, Dad, 2 brothers, 3 sisters & many other relatives) & went to serve his country.

Meanwhile a young 18 yr old Filipino girl moved with her family (Mom, Dad, 3 brothers & 1 sister) to a new country (US) in 1982, to start over & make a better future for themselves.

It was on the island of Guam (US Territory) in 1984 that Elsie (Natividad) & Dwight Clark first met. Not long after they were married & ready to start a family of their own. Elsie had one child of her own already, Richard, & they then had 5 more together, Jason, Dwight (DJ), Robert, Geraldine & Roxanne Clark. They were so happy, overjoyed by their healthy beautiful young family, but as time went on the young family was faced with many struggles. Trying to juggle military life, civillian work, raising 6 young children & trying to maintain their home. The struggle eventually became too great & they were all 6 put into foster care in 1990.

Jason Jay Clark (Murphy) was the 2nd eldest child in this family. The oldest of Elsie & Dwight's 5 children. When he last saw his parents in 1990 he was only 5 years old. His siblings were just 7-4-3-2-1.

Jason was adopted by a loving family (John & Debbie Murphy) from the US Army, stationed in Guam, that moved him to the states when he was 8-9 years old. Jason has not been back to Guam since, although he has often wondered about his parents, siblings & the island he once called home.

Jason is now 31 yrs old and resides near Eau Claire, WI with his young children. Ever since becoming a Father the urge to relocate his biological family has grown deeper, wondering if they were okay, if they missed him, if they even remembered him anymore.

It was to Jason amaze that in February 2017 his biological Father Dwight contacted him via Facebook. He couldn't believe this day had finally come, he had contact with someone but was very sad to learn his Father still lived all the way in Guam and his family was from Ohio. In fact, his Father hadn't been back to the states since 1984 prior to 2017.

Then in May 2017, after sharing a Facebook chain post in April that received over 1,000 shares worldwide & being on Pacific Daily News, Guam Post & KUAM News in Guam, Jason was finally reconnected with his biological Mother Elsie as well as her family who lives in Missouri. Again disheartened to find out that she too still lived in Guam, over a 1/2 a world away.

Jason was also blessed to be connected with many other family members during this time, including several paternal aunts/uncles, a grandmother & many cousins in Ohio in April. Also several maternal aunt/uncles & cousins in Missouri in May.

It is our hope that one day we will be able to bring his Mother, to see her Grandchildren. To hopefully meet uncles, cousins & any other people from Jason's past/childhood. Maybe down the line even go back to Guam to see his Godmother & reconnect with some of the foster families that took him in as a small boy. Maybe one day even our children to be able to see where their Daddy came from in Guam too & how his childhood has shaped him into the wonderful loving & devoted father he is today!

Traveling to or from Guam is a bit unique &  it is extremely expensive, much more so than even Hawaii, Philippines, Japan or Korea & not something we can currently afford. Individually it's about $2000-3000 per person on average, depending on the time of year, slightly cheaper for groups, & sometimes over $3000 each, which is hard to fathom in our current financial situation!

My hope & dream is to bring my Jason back together with his Mom, siblings, nieces, nephews and other family. To introduce all my children to their Grandparents & to see the whole in his heart finally filled after 26 long years! I pray we can get his Mom here as soon as possible to reconnect her with 3 of her long lost 6 children!

God bless you all, please share his story with the world & hopefully one day we will find the other 2 of his long lost siblings (DJ & Roxanne) as well! #Godisgood
