On July 12th, 2016, The First Family of Our Beloved Conscious Los Angeles Community, Bro Ras Bob & His Beautiful Queen Kimberly Garcia, owners and community event organizers of Bles-sed Love Gift Store located at 1404 West Vernon Ave. Los Angeles CA; Store number: 323-292-5214
experienced a sever family hardship when they came home to discover that both their Electricity and Water in the home where they are raising their divine family of six girls and two boys, (which includes young school aged children) had been disconnected due to an outstanding bill owed to the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power for the amount of $3,056.35.
This outstanding balance was accrued over time as a direct result of several personal family and community Elder Care health crises beginning with the care of Bro Ras Bob’s youngest sister who they cared for and purchased costly herbal health care remedies from our recently ancestored Dr Sebi until her transformation. Also The family took in a community Elder "Queen Mother" who required a 24- hour respiratory care device for two summers back to back thus increasing the electric bill monthly. Not to mention the countless families and community leader they have taken in over the years providing room and board as their home has become an African Oasis for the community according to the needs
As many of you know, Queen Kimberly has suffered recently from a serious health condition that almost cost her her life during the earlier part of this year. The medical expenses and continued cost of expensive herbal cell foods for her restoration has caused an additional family hardship that continues to this day. If ever there was a family who has proven time and time again over the years to be a Pillar of the community it would be the family of Ras Bob and Queen Kimberly. They are responsible for providing a location to bring out such Giants to our community as Dr, Umar Johnson, Dr. Joy DeGruy, Dr. Rosie Milligan, AA Rasheed, Sa Ra Suten Seti, Baba Kaba Kamene aka Booker T Coleman, Baba Professor James Smalls, Dr Phil Valentine, Dr Claude Anderson, Dr Armadou Varmah, Bro Sadiki Vakari, Professor Griff, Dr. Eve Allan, Red & Blue Pill, Beloved Pastor Meri Ka Ra and his Goddess Ericka and the list continues.
If you have ever attended an African centered event in Southern Ca, Leimert Park, The African American Museum of Beginnings, Detroit, Chicago, ATL, New York, Flordia, Georgia, Boston, North Carolina, to name a few, then I guaranty that you have tasted their amazing Caribbean Afro Centric food as vendors.
This is a family that works tirelessly for not only our community, but for the betterment of African People throughout the diaspora.
It is TIME for US as a people to give back to them. Let it be said that “NOT ON OUT WATCH” did we allow this family to go another night without Electricity and Running Water in their home. After speaking with many supervisors at The Los Angeles Depart of Water & Power, I have found ONE who is willing to restore the service in their home for 30% of the Bill. That comes to exactly $833.00. We can as a community raise this amount in less than an hour if only 833 people in the community would donate $1.00!
Arrangements must be made to continue to pay a monthly fee towards the remainder balance; however, if one of those payments are missed, in addition to paying the NEW bill in its entirety, then the service will again be disconnected. So in order to prevent that from happening I am asking that you join me in this campaign to restore the family’s electricity and water by paying this bill in its entirety $3,056.35. As there are fees associated with the use of GoFundMe me I am requesting the additional $100.00 to pay the percentage fees associated with this campaign.
