Cancer, of all kinds, can change lives. As a cancer survivor, I can tell you that once my medical treatments were finished I felt lost. My body was completely different as I had a double mastectomy; my mind was in a place of grief and uncertainty, and, my spirit was broken. I didn’t know where to turn or what to do.
Because of this, I decided to do something different for cancer survivors. I partnered with Rev Alan Pritz to create a full-day retreat focused on restoring body, reviving mind, and renewing spirit; in short, reclaiming life! This workshop offers survivors unique experiences of an uplifting, holistic, and transformational quality; ones intentionally different from other cancer-related workshops they may have attended.
Participants will gain meaningful connections, interactive learning, and enriching skills to facilitate, or improve upon, positive life changes. In short, they shall receive a truly nourishing array of tools to restore, revive, and renew the body/mind/spirit after cancer.
We expect approximately 100 cancer survivors and have set an affordable program price with a few scholarships provided for those who can't pay, or, to supplement what they can contribute.
This effort is self funded. Monies raised will pay for all workshop costs; food, paper goods, venue fees, event insurance, participant workbooks and gift bags, marketing, scholorships, workshop creation, implementation, and presenter honorariums. All this will ensure the workshop remains top quality, and, uniquely special.
Any amount you can give would be appreciated! If we reach the goal, any surplus funds will be put in a bank account as seed money for next year's workshop.
