On Tuesday October 22, 2013 my precious 2 year old nephew Ethan (aka SuperMan)was brought into the hospital for a third time because of vomiting. Approximately 50 minutes later after a head scan was done, he was being life starred to Yale New Haven hospital with the diagnosis of a brain tumor. Upon arrival to Yale, he was escorted into an MRI where they discovered a large tumor that had spread under the cerebellum and around the left side of his brain. This cancerous tumor was set to be removed the next morning in an extensive, 12 hour brain surgery. Now, one week since that terrifying day..Ethan remains hospitalized waiting on pathology reports to determine the type of cancer and the recommended path of treatment. Regardless of type, this will be a very long road ahead and so many people have asked how they can help! I am organizing this site with hopes of helping raise money for my sister and her family through these extremely challenging times. She could be looking at months away from work, medical bills beyond comprehension and challenges yet to be revealed. Thank you for your prayers, support and most of all love during this extremely challenging time...
On Tuesday we were told that the recharge will indeed be harder and longer..the type of cancer our super man is fighting is more aggressive than one should ever have to battle. He will need chemotherapy as soon as he is strong enough, followed by radiation after that. Jenni, Dave, Noah, and of course our little E. will need as many thoughts, prayers and support as possible. We will see the light at the end of this marathon! We will fight harder, we will support stronger, and we will be there to beat this!
