Emma's Rally Against Leukemia

None of us can ever prepare ourselves for the devastating news "your child has cancer." Emma, a sweet playful 2 year old, was experiencing symptoms of swollen lymph nodes and sluggishness. After three visits to her pediatrician her parents were told "We think you need to take her to Levine Children's Hospital for evaluation". Hopeful thinking Jeremy and Melinda carried sweet Emma to the hospital. Little did they know the horrible reality they were about to be faced with. After 3 days of blood work, CT Scans, EKG's and much much more, on Christmas Eve a diagnosis had been reached. " Emma has Leukemia". Earth shattering!! On Christmas Day, rather than waking up to Santa having come to her home, Emma will be taken to the OR where she will have a port placed to begin Chemo, a bone marrow biopsy, as well as her first round of Chemo administered directly into her spine. Please says prayer for this sweet girl and her parents for their road is very long and windy. Please help us to collect any amount you can give to help while Jeremy and Melinda place their jobs on hold while sweet Emma fights this cancer! Their main focus right now has to be Emma and not the outside world. Emma will undergo Chemo once a week as well as numerous visits back and forth to the doctors. Please help us ease the burden for her parents. Emma is truly a fighter and will soon welcome her new sister into this world.
