RTRA Needs a new horse

Richmond Therapeutic Riding Association (RTR) provides quality therapeutic riding lessons for children and youth with disabilities in order to promote physical, social and psychological well being.  Our riders are improving balance, posture, muscle tone along with self-esteem, self- confidence and social skills.  Many of our riders experience a connection and bond with their horse that few other activities can create.

Just before the holidays we lost one of our beloved horses, Xen.  She suffered from a very bad form of colic and even though we recognized the symptoms early on there was unfortunately nothing we or the vet could do for her.

The lesson program at RTR is currently full and we need five horses to ensure that all of our horses are not overworked and remain happy, healthy and safe for our riders.  Please consider donating so we can find a new horse and continue running our program for our very special kids.
