RSWA Mvskoke Culture & Language

Red Stick Warrior Association is a small group of Creek & Seminole individuals striving to preserve the Mvskoke language and culture.
We met during a Mvskoke language class and decided to do more. To date, we have had several more language classes, completed interviews about our culture & covered the 2016 Creek Nation Inauguration. (Visit our website here)
Our mission is to:
1. Preserve our language.
2. Preserve the stories of our elders.
3. Preserve our culture & history.
4. Share Tribal Civic opportunities.
We feel that we have been able to accomplish so much for our Mvskoke people being completely funded by our small group.
The support raised will be used to continue our mission to preserve our heritage, like:
1. Continue our cultural and language study groups.
2. Have a budget to travel and complete interviews with elders and tribal leaders.
3. Business expenses (Video Equipment, Rent, Web Developement).
Personally, we are on our own journey. With every interview, language class and cultural presentation, we are learning more about our people, our ancestors and our history. We've learned about our ceremonial ways and the Christian influence on our people.
