The Red Sea Pedestrians' 4th Album

Hi, everyone! We’re The Red Sea Pedestrians from Kalamazoo, MI, and proud members of the Earthwork Music collective. We’ve been writing and recording music together for over a decade now, and we’re hard at work on our 4th full-length studio album. We believe this is our most ambitious and adventurous album yet, and we’re asking for your help to bring it into the world!
This project is the follow up to back-to-back WYCE -Jammie-award winning albums Adrift and The Electromagnetic Escape , so we know the bar is set high, but that’s how we like it! We have been tucked away at La Luna Recording and Sound for the past several months, creating a collection of 11 original tunes that blend many genres, including Klezmer, Rock, Gypsy Jazz, World-Roots, and folk, with a heavy dose of psychadelia and experimentation thrown in. Hundreds of hours of focus and passion have gone into this album, and we can’t wait to share it with our community.
We’re also excited to bring a couple of great creative minds into the project. Renowned Kalamazoo graphic designer and graphic novel artist Paul Sizer (Moped Army, B.P.M., Thomas Dolby) is onboard to design the look of the album. We’re also pleased to be have this album mastered by Chicago engineer Anthony Gravino , at his lovely studio The Drake, with his great ears and fantastic collection of top-shelf vintage gear.
We’ve got the team, we’ve got the creative vision, and we’ve got the plan. What we need is more funding. We've saved a bit over the past year, but we still need some help to get this project off the ground. Your donation will help us cover the costs of studio time, graphic design, mastering, CD production, and promotion. We've created different levels of giving with fantastic gifts for you to say "thank you" for helping us in advance. From simply pre-ordering the album, to getting your very own RSP house show, we have many ways to show our appreciation. Our music and our lives are intertwined with this wonderful community, and we can’t do this without you!
