Reuel Lubag - 1st CD Release
Hi everyone!
Thanks for your interest! I've actually never released a CD project under my own name during my music career. I did a joint project back in college, but anything ever since has been as a sideman, arranger, producer or engineer. I've been encouraged that it's about time I did my own project.
The funding I'm needing is to cover some recording time, but mostly post-production costs like mastering, licenses for any songs by other composers, and of course the actual costs of producing the project and releasing it.
Your help to get this project completed will be so helpful. There will be various levels of funding available including copies of the completed project (signed and unsigned), production credit for donors, and mention in the liner notes as major contributors.
Levels of contribution :
$5 - Digital download of 3 songs from album.
$10 - Digital download of entire album
$15 - Physical copy of CD
$20 - Autographed, physical copy of CD
$25 - Previous level plus photo of trio
$50 - Previous level reward, and special mention in liner notes
$100 - Previous reward level and mention as assistant producer in liner notes. Digital photo album of session and post-production.
>$150 - Previous reward level and mention as associate producer in liner notes.
>$250 - Previous reward level and mention as executive producer status in liner notes.
>$500 - Previous level plus 1 hour solo performance to be arranged
>$1000 - Full producer status reward, and 1 hour performance by trio to be arranged.

The target goal has been met successfully, thanks to all who've come on board so far. However, contributions are still welcome to be able to also possibly release some additional material possibly in the form of a 2nd simultaneous released project. There are several sessions 'in the can' that are possibly available options to release. More info will come as the project and post production continues.

Went into Studio X(Seattle) yesterday and recorded the album material piggybacking after a session I was playing on for a new Native Jazz Trio CD. The guys at the studio were so professional and did a great job of making us feel welcome. They appeared to be surprised how much music we were able to crank out in such a short period of time. But that's what I and the guys I play with try to strive for as a jazz musician. You need to catch a moment and live in it. Sometimes doing multiple takes only can water down the energy and the spontaneity. I'm glad to say that it went pretty well and the execution was solid from my supporting players. The goal is to shoot for perfection but have fun and make music that will touch others.
