Quintin's Quest

Hi! I am Jacqy, Quintin's mom :)

Quintin is a fun, energetic, 6 year old who enjoys soccer, music, and science. His smile is one that is ear to ear, and he usually is found playing outside. Quintin was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma on February 5th 2016. He is high risk, and requires an aggressive treatment plan for an aggressive cancer. After 4 rounds of chemo, he will have surgery followed by one more round of chemo. He will then be required to have a high dose of chemo before receiving his first bone marrow transplant in Seattle. This step requires us to stay at Seattle Children's Hospital for a month. He will be given a small break, where he can be out of the hospital to recover a little more. When he recovers, and counts are high enough, he repeats another month for another bone marrow transplant. After we are given the clearance, we can head back to our "home" hospital in Spokane to begin radiation. There is small talk about doing some of the radiation in Seattle, but it is too far down the road to know if that will be the case.

The money raised will help pay for housing in Seattle, medical bills, and any other financial burderns that arise while we are caring for Quintin.
