Escuela Mixta Urbana Library Fund

My name is Brooke Burgess and I created this Gofundme to raise money for the school, Escuela Mixta Urbana y Rural Pacaja, a local school in Quezelatango Guatemala. I was lucky enough to spend two weeks with the 600 kids attending the school this past summer. With the help of GLA the school has grown in classroom numbers, been painted with dozens of murals, and has passionate teens all summer providing English lessons. But why stop there? The school is still lacking a key element to success, a library. Through this fund, I hope together, we can provide just that.

The kids of this school are so passionate about their education due to the fact it can often offer hope for a better career and a life where they can provide basic needs to their family. The addition of a library would open new doors for these kids and ultimatley enhance their chances of success beyond the walls of the school.
