The film includes not just the standard highlights of Chicago—the famous buildings, the Cubs, the Magnificent Mile—but goes way beyond that to include the lesser-known neighborhoods, the spectacular buildings that have fallen into disrepair, the serenity of our parks, and the unexpected beauty found in the hidden corners of Chicago, sights that only a resident could see and point out.

The entire film was shot in public and shows the real things you see—and the sights we’ve come to overlook—in a real, gritty, glorious city. The film is entirely, 100% positive about Chicago, and the result is unexpectedly moving, bringing out a feeling most of us have all but forgotten how to feel—a simple love and awe for our shared humanity.
What your donation will cover:
I am trying to finish the film and bring it to film festivals, and your donation will help with equipment, legal costs and film festival fees. This is a passion project, and all of my time over the past year and all expenses have come out of my own pocket thus far. Even the smallest amount will be a big help! Your donation will help take the film to the next level and help show the hidden beauty of our city, capture a moment in time, and show the world the wild, wonderful Chicago too rarely seen.
