Joe shot his 2nd 1 Hour Special titled "The Poster's Wrong" in Philadelphia, PA at Helium Comedy Club on May 12th (2 Shows 7:30 and 10pm). The title is in reference to an obscure scene in Joe's favorite movie of all time Rocky, and a long bit about that scene will be in this 1 Hour Special.
The 1 Hour Special is a 4 camera shoot shot, scored, and edited by Reisbord Productions. Joe picked Philly because he has a strong connection to Philadelphia since he grew up just 15mins away just over the bridge in Cherry Hill, NJ. Philadelphia is also where he started his standup career at the age of 19 and remained there until he was 4 years into standup and moved to NYC.
A lot goes into shooting a special, from designing the back drop, hiring the right opening act, picking and booking the right club or theater, getting all the seats filled by doing tons of promo, to writing a new hour of great standup material that's time tested and ready to be filmed and sold to the public.
This will also will be turned into an album and that will cost money for the album art work, mixing of the recording and cutting the tracks, to getting it to the right media outlets so it generates album sales and much more.
