Hurricane Harvey Pet Relief

Pet Haven Rescue volunteers will leave early Monday morning (4 Sept 17), leading a caravan including trailers with boats (thank you, WeeDooBoats ). Vehicles are being loaded with pet supplies (food, treats, cat litter) to distribute to those in need, including a private home unexpectedly harboring seventy (yes, 70) cats. 

Working along with Pilots N Paws and Furry Friends they will return to South Florida with adoptable shelter pets from the outskirts of Houston. This will free up space in TX shelters to allow refuge for owned, stranded, stray, and medical-need pets.  

Caravan fuel costs are estimated to be $3000+.  Upon return, Pet Haven Rescue will have costs associated with heartworm testing/treatment, flea & tick prevention, boarding, spay/neuter, vax and follow-up.   Donations, well-wishes and prayers are gratefully being accepted for the health and safety of everyone assisting in this rescue mission.  Thank you, in advance.
