Pat and family fight Melanoma

Donation protected

My sister met Pat when she was twenty nine years old.  They hit it off from the start and things progressed quickly.  They got engaged, he moved into her Manyunk home and on May 3, 2013 they were married in a beautiful ceremony in front of God and 150 of their closest family and friends.  On December 30, 2014 they welcomed their first daughter, beautiful Chloe into this world.  She filled their home with a love like no other.  Soon the little Manyunk home that was once perfect for a young single nurse  seemed just a little too small.  After a long daunting process they sold their first home and moved to the suburbs in hopes to expand their family and raise their children.  Shortly after they purchased their home they learned that Megan was preganant with their second child.  It looked as though they would get the fairytale ending they both had always dreamed of.  The unfortunate thing about plans is that life always seems to get in the way.  Pat was diagnosed with Melanoma, a reoccurance from years before.  At first the diagnosis was optimistic.  He  had surgery, they believed they removed it and he would get a year of treatment as precaution.  Unfortunately a few months later his scans showed that his cancer had spread.  He now had Stage IV melenoma.  A few months later on May 28th Megan gave birth to their second daughter Madison.  A true blessing.   For over a year Pat has endured numerous  treatments and testing.  All the while he has maintained a full time AND part time job and has been a loving and providing husband and father to his wife and children.  Two weeks ago they received futher devastating news.  Pat's cancer had now spread to his brain and unfortunately today he was admitted to Penn as the brain lesions have grown.  The prognosis: not good.  Pat is strong, young and resilent and has a whole lot to live for so we will continue to believe that he CAN and WILL beat this. Unfortunately with things being as they are  my sister will have to take additional time off that she doesn't have since just six months ago she was out on maternity leave.  Any help that you can give is greatly appreciated.  No one  ever plans for devastation like this.  Your thoughts, prayers, love and support mean so very much.  We thank you all.
