Tennis is a fantastic sport for kids and one that creates better young athletes and competitors with great attitudes. But there are challenges to playing the game in very rural locations.
Team tennis is the best way to introduce young players to this sport with lots of low-key matches and a team scoring format that makes it all competitive without all the pressure of sanctioned tournament matches.
Players in our area typically ride our bus 30 - 120 miles for competition (i.e. where the courts are). Our goal is too make tennis accessible to kids of all backgrounds and economic circumstances. To that end we are fund raising to provide uniforms, promotional materials, coaching, court time, racquets, balls,
and transportation costs.
