Paige's Foreign Exchange dream

Ever since sixth grade I have been saving all of the money I received/earn for My dream of going to Germany. My passion is traveling and I crave culture shock. Ever since I was younger I loved trying new foods and seeing new places. Currently I am 16, when I am a senior in high school I am hoping to do a foreign exchange program to Germany for a year. My goal is to reach 10,000 dollars to cover the traveling expense and any unexpected expenses in Germany. I appreciate any small amount of money because each penny is a penny closer to Germany!
When in Germany, besides being a representative of American culture and learning about German culture, I shall be taking pictures. I have a blog for my current photography: Stand Still and Watch and also an instagram. Owning my own business is another way for me to raise money for Germany. I started said business when I was only 14!
My Photography story:
When I was about eight or nine I saw my first national geographic magazine. Ever since that day that I flipped through the pages of that magazine I have wanted to get a camera. When I was 12 I finally got my camera, a Soney. I had two different lenses. My passion grew when my family went to Quebec. Ever since that trip to old Quebec I began to carry my camera every where. When school started up again (in seventh grade) my art teacher suggested I start a blog. Thus Stand still and Watch, was born.
I got the name from some of my first photos. I originally wanted to just take landscape. To take landscape I would sit and just watch the sun set, the stars, the birds, and the direction of the wind along with other natural occurrences. I learned that photography can be either speedy and quick when taking pictures that display action. Or photos can take a lot of waiting. If we stand still and watch, we notice so much beautiful creations.
In my county we have a fair for 4-H. I have been in 4-H every year since I was about 8 or 9. In 2015 I took part in a photography project. I had to complete a project book (controlling the image) . In that project book it taught me different photography terms and gave me different activities I had to complete. I got a grade A on the judging and honestly would not shut up about what I did in my project, I was very proud of what I had accomplished. I had to also, as part of the project, submit a photo. So I submitted a picture of my friends little brother and one first place.
I decided to create my business when I was 14. I would participate in craft shows to slowly build my income for my foreign exchange trip and get my name out there. I soon found myself selling my photos in a variety of stores.
