Who are we?
PA5 Truth and Action is a newly-formed coalition of engaged constituents of Pennsylvania's Fifth Congressional District. We are not politicians. We are simply concerned Pennsylvanians.
We have already organized several successful town halls and protests outside of Representative Glenn 'GT' Thompson's offices. We need your help to expand our efforts, by running a series of newspaper ads highlighting how the proposed American Health Care Act will harm our fellow constituents and millions of other people throughout the country.
What kind of ads?
Each ad will feature the photo and story of an actual PA5 constituent who will be harmed by the law, as well as the address to a website where the reader can learn more about the constituent and to sign up for our group's newsletter.
We need to raise $5,000 to run a variety of ad sizes and formats in newspapers throughout the district, enabling us to reach constituents that we have not yet been able to reach. Newspaper ads are especially effective in reaching older and rural people, who may not have Internet access.
What else can I do to help?
For one thing, if you donate at least $50, you get a PA5 Truth and Action t-shirt, so wear that shirt proudly whenever you're in the district!
If you’re a constituent of PA5 and have a compelling story of how the Affordable Care Act (ACA/Obamacare) has helped you or a loved one, or how the AHCA would harm you, please get in touch . We want to help you share it with your fellow constituents, and with your representative.
