Support Oxford's Free Spay and Neuter Clinics - Feb 23--26.
As part of the 20th anniversary of World Spay Day, several groups in Lafayette county are hosting four days of free spay and neuter clinics. Ane, we worked with 9 Lives Cat Rescue on a 5th day (Feb 22).
Pets (cats, dogs, rabbits) and free-roaming dogs/cats in Lafayette county are eligible for these services. We blew past our initial goal of signing up 300 animals, and now have well over 350 animals enrolled for the clinics.
The vet teams are donating their time and skills, a local vet's office and Oxford Lafayette Humane Society are providing surgical space at no cost, and many volunteers are working to make this event happen. Several local businesses have also stepped up to help.
In addition to the medical and cleaning supplies necessary for surgery, we are providing rabies vacinations at no cost to the owners. We hope to cover any after-care costs a few animals might need such.
Your donation will help provide such supplies.
