Help Omar Khadr

£1,765 of £5,000 goal

Raised by 88 people in 49 months
The London Guantánamo Campaign is bringing Canadian lawyer Dennis Edney QC to London on 11-19 March 2014 to raise awareness about his client Omar Khadr, a former Guantánamo prisoner, arrested aged just 15 in Afghanistan, tortured, and held in Guantánamo where he is the only person since WWII to be convicted as an adult for war crimes committed as a minor under a secret plea bargain. He returned to Canada in September 2012 where he remains in prison.

We are inviting Dennis Edney to speak at a series of meetings to raise awareness about the various issues involved in Omar Khadr’s unique case and show UK support for Omar Khadr and Dennis Edney.

One of the main organisations worldwide raising awareness about Guantánamo - but entirely volunteer run - we need your help to fund this visit.

All excess funds will go towards Omar Khadr's legal fee.
