Hello! I'm raising money to get myself and a colleague over to Nepal in April 2019 to help rebuild a village school and toilet facility.

In April of 2015 a massive earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck Nepal, over 3,000 people were confirmed dead and more than six million people were affected.  As part of an ongoing project to help communities struggling to rebuild their infrastructure myself and another member of Oddsocks are hoping to make a trip to join a volunteer team in Nepal and help the Jugal Primary School in Sindhupalchwok, approximately 100Km from Kathmandu.  The school currently has 97 students and 4 teachers.  They received initial help following the earthquake, but as you can see from the pictures, they still need help to provide a safe and suitable environment for these children.

The money I raise will cover the costs of flights from London, transfers and transport in Nepal, Accommodation  for 3 nights in Katchmandu and tents whilst working at the project for 7 nights (twin rooms/tents throughout).  It will contribute to the local project coordination, build manager, admin and pre-departure support.
Project Materials, visas/vaccinations required, and personal travel insurance.

The sooner I reach my financial target, the cheaper the flights to the region will cost and therefore more of the total money raised can be put directly into the project.

The skills built up over the years running my theatre company Oddsocks Productions include building, woodwork and effective communication and this project is an opportunity for myself and a colleague to contribute these to a rewarding and vital cause.

Thank you for your support I really appreciate it.  All best Andy!
