Nicole’s Journey

On October 17th, Nicole Baral, a 19 year old college student at Southern University went into Yale New Haven Hospital with leg pain. Hours later she was rushed into surgery due to blood clots in her left leg.
Nicole has remained in ICU for the last few weeks undergoing continuous surgeries every 2 to 3 days. Nicole’s journey is going to be a long one. Nicole’s family is hopeful that she will be released from the hospital with the intent of wearing a brace on her leg that enables her to walk comfortably.
Nicole’s strength theses past few weeks has taught her family how incredibly strong and brave Nicole truly is.
Nicole was recently put on a leave of absence from Southern University. During her leave she will be working to get herself healthy so that at a future date she can return to school.
The money raised for Nicole will help her during this journey. Any added medical needs that insurance does not cover, any financial hardships that Nicole has while out of work and recovering. Nicole can also use assistance for school loans as she unfortunately lost this semester but has to pay for it.
These donations will help Nicole in any possible way so that she can get back to being a 19 year old kid.
