Imagine French Chanson meets the Great American Songbook, a troubadour who also leads a band. Would you say yes to a CD that bottles the chemistry of all that, and of a live musical performance?
My name is Andrea Carlson and I delight in capturing the beauty, joy, and surprise of life, through lyrics and musical arrangements. I’m busting with excitement about my new CD project, “Love Can Be So Nice,” includes Standards, French, and Original songs - and a French Original! The recording started last October 29th - and now it is done - and I need your help to meet the costs of studio time, musicians, and production, to get this unique blend of music to you and listeners everywhere.
My first CD, “Drivin’ Myself Wild For You,” in 2011 showcased my music and lyrics, arrangements and artwork. It opened doors for me to tour Europe during three summers that followed, where I shared songs and musical collaborations, amazing adventures that truly changed my life! Along the way, I built my band -- The Love Police -- with leading musicians from Philadelphia, Chicago, and even Edinburgh. This next CD will bring out the sounds and spirit of these journeys, and express the chemistry of a live performance.
I am a singer, guitarist, and composer, artist and teacher, wife and mother, and above all a traveler through life. Won’t you join me?
