Nepal Disaster Relief Trip

What do you do when you find yourself suddenly having to reset your life? In the past year, my family has faced challenges, including the loss of my youngest sister Sophie due to liver failure. Now, I'm being made redundant from the Commonwealth Authority I've been part of since late 2008, so - time to find something new to do.
I've always loved the more hands-on work - being an officer in the Royal Australian Navy, working in the mining sector in the Northern Territory for starters. I've volunteered through the Mercy Arms before; and travelling and photography are two of my greatest passions, so - how to combine all of that?
I've been accepted into the Projects Abroad Nepal Disaster and you can follow my blog here: http://www.mytripblog.org/pg/blog/amackinnell . I will be leaving for Nepal at the start of August to be part of the teams rebuilding schools in the Kathmandu valley and other rebuild efforts.
