I am a US Navy Veteran.
I am detailing my mother's condition because until recently she was in a nursing home in San Antonio, and this weekend the neglect of that facility caused her to have another heart attack. She is currently in ICU at North East Baptist Hospital since Saturday Aug 11th . The attending physician stated that her condition when she was brought in was horrible, she had hair knots at the back of her head due to not being attended to by the staff of the nursing home, not to mention dried feces on her body also from neglect of the staff.
Since taking my new job in Hawaii, my contract has changed, I currently have no sick leave, no bereavement time off, and will not get vacation until the beginning of December 2018. Over this week end she had at least two heart failure episodes. I'm afraid I will not be there if the worse happens. As the only living sibling of three, I need to be there with my mother during this critical time. However If if leave it's with out pay of guarantee of having a job on return. I would like to move my mother to New Jersey where her sister and family could give her the attention and care she deserve.
My GoFundme effort is to cover cost for taking off work to facilitate that move to New Jersey. I would greatly appreciate any donations in support of my mother and her condition. My intention is to leave for TX by the end August 2018.
