Nat's Garden - a space for recovery
You have all heard Natalie has been diagnosed with Leukaemia, she is currently undergoing chemotherapy to treat this. it will be a while till she will be allowed home as currently her immune system is very low or non existent, when she is allowed home she won't be allowed to go out too often due to risk of infection.
Some very kind friends of ours have decided to improve our garden to give Nat a space she can relax in when she comes home. things are already under way and plans for decking and raised boarders are all in motion.
I thought I'd send a message to everyone who commented on her status and ask if anyone would like to donate any time, labour, tools, old garden stuff (furniture etc) or even kind enough to contribute towards funding. anything big or small is welcome so long as you can wield a shovel, plant some flowers or even make a round of teas (beer is preferred)
let me know if you can help or know anyone who can. at the moment we are getting costs for decking, so if you know any good suppliers who can give us a great price that's also much appreciated.
thanks for reading
As for the garden the decking is finished! We have a shed and some furniture and the raised boarder is done and filling up with plants! Still lots to do but it's looking amazing!
Hi. My parents would like to get involved by offering their time (and maybe some plants). Dad is great at building stuff/digging and mum is a keen gardener. They are however useless at technology (although don't admit it). Is there a more traditional way they can contact you? Email is fine but FB is patchy. Their names are Kath & David Morris. I would be delighted to offer homemade cake if that was any help. I have also sent you a message on Messenger if that is easier but often the messages get lost if you aren't FB friends. Do let me know and I wish Nat a full and speedy recovery. She has been in my thoughts since I first saw your post on FB. Do let me know. Best wishes Pippa
Please could I have contact details as I would like to donate an item for Nats garden
