Heritage Foundation

The N.J. Former Troopers Heritage Foundation was incorporated on March 21, 2013, to provide financial assistance to the families of deceased New Jersey State Troopers.   Founded as a New Jersey nonprofit 501(c)(3), it serves as the benevolent affiliate of the Association of Former New Jersey State Troopers.  Our Heritage Foundation upholds much of the time-honored traditions established over the fifty-nine-year history of the Former Troopers Association, especially the belief that, “Once a Trooper, Always a Trooper” is paramount, and although retired or separated from State Police service, we are all still part of “The Outfit.”

     Our Heritage Foundation has established four benevolent funds dedicated to providing financial assistance to the families of retired and deceased Jersey Troopers and to the New Jersey State Police, as well as making benevolent contributions to other public and private charities.  Those funds include:

· a College Scholarship Fund, dedicated to providing educational scholarship opportunities to the children, step-children, grandchildren, and step-grandchildren of former Jersey Troopers.  This program selects qualified recipients based upon academic achievements, demonstrated volunteer civic involvement while at the elementary and high school levels, and financial needs;

·a Survivors Fund, dedicated to assist the survivors of former Jersey Troopers, whose passing has incurred financial hardship upon their family; 

·a Building Fund, dedicated to support the expansion and construction of worthy New Jersey State Police and Former Troopers Association related projects; and,

·a Good of the Order Fund, dedicated to helping the many other charitable benevolences that the Heritage Foundation proudly supports.
