Notre Dame for Ecuador
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Maria Isabel Aguayo, an ecuadorian student at the University of Notre Dame.
As many of you may know, on April 16th an earthquake of a 7.8 magnitude hit the Ecuadorian coast, and hundreds of aftershocks have followed. Currently, there are 270+ deaths and thousands wounded, while these numbers continue to rise.

Damage to the country's infrastructure is immeassurable, leaving millions without access to basic needs like food and water. The country is devastated as people have lost their homes and loved ones. All six coastal provinces are in state of emergencies.
We would like to invite you all to donate as much as you can, be as generous as possible, every dollar counts. Let's unite efforts to help those in need on behalf of the Notre Dame community.
I have contacted members of the Notre Dame Club of Ecuador to work together to help the victims of the earthquake. All your donations will be used to buy power units and machinery necessary to remove debris from buildings and help rescue people as well as build shelters for those who lost their homes. Once we reach that goal, we will buy canned products, and water, which will the be transported and distributed to the most affected areas in the country with the help of Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil ( https://www.juntadebeneficencia.org.ec) and Armada del Ecuador ( http://www.armada.mil.ec).
Please don't forget to share this link so alumni, professors, parents, and friends, can join us in this cause.
Thank you all!
