Kendrick David Evans – A Big Dreamer with an even Bigger Voice
Meet Kendrick. In 2012 he was diagnosed with a rare form of sleep apnea and given approximately three years to live. This diagnoses meant that Kendrick’s dreams of one day recording and touring were virtually unattainable. Doctors advised Kendrick to get a tracheal tube in his throat – which would mean not being able to sing or travel anymore. This wasn’t an option for Kendrick, who said: “I would rather die without surgery and be able to still sing.”
Today, Kendrick is 25 years-old, and he still refuses to let anything hold him back! He is currently completing his fourth album, and will be releasing a single with one of his lifelong idols, gospel talent, BeBe Winans. Kendrick’s life is proof that following your dreams and your passions should be an everyday decision, not something that is postponed for the future.
Kendrick will be giving the funds raised in his honor to the Boys and Girls Club of America.
