Mrs. Vermont International 2018
Donation protected
My name is Chelsea Phillips and I am the Mrs. Vermont International 2018 titleholder. In addition to this, I am a social worker for the state of Vermont. I am a mom of two beautiful children, a wife, and a nationally certified child passenger safety technician. In these roles my number one priority is keeping children safe, which is why I have chosen Keeping Kids Safe Worldwide as my platform.
Most people are surprised to learn preventable injuries are the #1 killer of kids in the United States. Throughout the world, almost one million children die of an injury each year, and almost every one of these tragedies is preventable. As Mrs. Vermont, my goal is to spread community awareness on how to prevent these types of injuries and I will be doing so by volunteering my time to educate our community. I will be at local car seat checks teaching parents and caregivers on how to properly install car seats, I will be in the media, visiting hospitals and other organizations and events to spread awareness, but to do this I need your support. I never dreamed that I would have this opportunity and now here I am, scared and excited at the same time for this journey. If you choose to donate your funds will be used for pageant fees, travel costs to community events and to West Virginia, and any remaining will be donated to Safe Kids Worldwide.
Losing one child is one too many, and we don't want any parent to have to endure the loss of a child. I am calling on everyone to come together, to raise awareness and to get involved. Saving lives is a decision we can all make every day. Please start today by supporting me as your Mrs. Vermont International 2018, and if you or someone you know would like my assistance with installing car seats, have questions, or would like me to attend a certain event please feel to reach out and I will be happy to help.
Thank you for all the support.
