"MR. WRITE" (My 1st Book!)

Donation protected
After 10+ years as a humble student of the Chicago poetry scene, one hip hop musical , two albums, three mixtapes, a full page feature in the 2nd longest running international hip-hop periodical with 8 million subscribers worldwide , and a verbal co-sign by one of the most talented, respected, Grammy award-winning, multiplatium MC duos in the world . . . Brandon "Real T@lk" Williams is FINALLY ready to release his first published literary work entitled...
"(she calls me) Mr. Write "

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Titled after a poem inspired by Lupe Fiasco's "He Say,She Say" and written in 2006 during his studies at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, "Mr. Write" is arguably Real T@lk's most popular piece. He often receives unanimous requests to "...do that one joint about the pen and pencil!" during performances across the country.

This work will contain over 100 pages of poetry (including a few haikus), original rap lyrics, essays, short monologues, short stories, highlights of life on tour, and observations about love and relationships (philosophic in nature).            Like any self-publishing or independent publishing adventure, there are many risks and challenges. Nonetheless, I want to self-publish in order to have complete creative control of the project and it will be a true representation of me.         I wish to provide an authentic experience with this book that has yet to be created. Throughout my career as an artist, public speaker, storyteller, and educator, I have sought to create a universal form of communication that bridges the gaps between people. This project is very possible and very needed in today’s literature scene.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born in Maywood and raised in Peoria, Illinois, Brandon "Real T@lk" Williams is changing the world one rhyme at a time! He's an alumni of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated.

" To say that hip-hop is my life is an understatement. I believe that music is a universal form of communication that brings people together, and I wish to transfer my musical talents into providing a much needed inspirational work available for any one who wishes to listen or read. "

In October of 2009, he wrote and produced a stage production entitled "The Yard: An A'Capella/Hip-Hop Musical " at Southern Illinois University. Two months later he was named “Unsigned Hype” by The Source Magazine in their December 2009 issue for his debut opus "The Mo' Better Mixtape".
In February 2012, he was invited to perform for Andre3000 at his Atlanta home. Andre called Real a "lyrical scientist." In 2013 he was invited to join Big Boi's "Shoes For Running World Tour" with Killer Mike. He’s also performed at over 100 stages and 50 college campuses across the nation including Howard University, Hampton University, Morehouse College, and Fisk University (to name a few).
Currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, he’s currently working on his 6th audio project featuring Authentik Made, Organized Noize Productions, DJ Toomp, DJ Cutmaster Swiff and a few other Atlanta and Chicago natives. Truly a mother-loving genius, cunning linguist. His lyrics will make your brain smile.
