Senior dog "Mr Lewis" has a tumor!

This is Mr Lewis , a sweet old soul who was left at Waukegan Police Animal Control by someone who says they found him running loose near Target on Lewis Avenue. Please take a minute to watch the video of his reaction when this person left.  Sadly, this isn't the first time we've seen this. The confusion and fear when their people leave is just heartbreaking. Many dogs are anxious and fidgety. We've not seen anyone cry and wail like this before though. Add in that he is very sick, and it's hard to tell his story without crying. Regardless of how or why he came to us, what we know is that he is a TRULY sweet little old man who LOVES everyone...dogs, cats, people... and that he has a HUGE, infected, itchy, and painful mass in his ear that needs to be removed before it ruptures or spreads.

We are urgently fundraising to cover the cost of his surgery and a biopsy to determine if it's cancer, so we know how to treat him going forward.

We are praying it's benign and that he has several good golden years left to be loved and spoiled. Please help us share his story, and get him the surgery he needs to be pain free and live out his remaining time in a loving home. Thank you!
