Hello, I am La'Creshia, the cousin to Monique "Menia" Landia of Portsmouth, Va. - A woman found dead inside of a Portsmouth apartment.
Menia's life was taken too soon by a gunshot to her upper body. Menia, who was 26 years old went to school for Business Management and was looking to join the military soon. Menia did not only have the opportunity to not live out her dreams but also she will not have the opportunity to visit her mother in Georgia for the upcoming holiday's. Menia will be missed but never forgotten; a heart of gold.
Therefore, I am reaching out to all who can contribute to this fund raiser for Menia's buriel expenses/arrangements, her mothers expense for eating/travel/lodging /pet boarder arrangements, etc to provide a proper home going ceremony for her child.
Funds will be needed within the next 2 weeks once all investigations on the body are completed and is released to Menia's mother.
Helping to raise this money for Menia would mean so much to her mother and the family. Her mother is a wounded Veteran of the US Army living only on a fixed disability income. She had no insurance on her child due to her limited income source. It would mean so much to me if we could show our love, help, support to her and her child in their time of need. Any additional funds raised, her mother said would be used to open a foundation in Menia's name for murdered family victims.
We would be thankful and honored for any contribution amount for this will lessen the expense for her mother and take some of the pressure off her/current health condition.
