Monica Lynn Raum

Sadly, at just 36 years old, Monica lost her Colon Cancer battle on Friday November 2, 2018.  Monica leaves behind 3 Sons who were her World; Payton-18, Logan-15 & Owen-9 brought their Mom so much Joy, even in times of sorrow.  Monica was a single Mom who worked hard to not only support her boys, but to give them a Full Life!! With Payton, she was a PROUD Football Mom cheering from the stands; although nothing made her more Proud than watching him walk across the stage at Clear Spring High School’s Graduation this past June!! Monica was also a PROUD BMX Mom thanks to Logan and Owen!! BMX is a Family Affair; not only did Monica support her sons, but her Nieces, Nephews & even her Big Brother, Timm!! The Hagerstown BMX Family will surely miss her presence, especially her smile and hearing her cheer for her boys on Race Days!! Monica’s boys have a rough road ahead, having to grieve the loss of their Mother & adjust to their new lives without her.  Providing aide for the continued care of Monica’a boys is the main purpose of this fundraiser, after her funeral expenses.

Monica’s initial diagnosis was quite a shock, but she NEVER allowed it to define her.  Monica displayed Tremendous Strength, Perseverance & Faith throughout her entire life- especially while battling Cancer!!  Rather than feel sorry for herself or focusing on how unfair this diagnosis was, Monica used herself as an example for others.  Every chance Monica got, she encouraged others to be screened for Colon Cancer; Always asking the question  #WhatsUpYourButt?!  
Monica truly was a WARRIOR!! 

This GoFundMe Campaign has been set up to provide financial assistance for Monica’s Funeral Expenses & the continued care of her sons; Payton, Logan and Owen. Losing a Loved one is Heartbreaking, especially around the holidays. However, Monica’s Family is experiencing the gut-wrenching pain of losing her just 10 months after losing her Mother, Margaret. This holiday season is going to be extremely difficult for our Family as we grieve for both Monica & Margaret, as well as  5 other family members we have lost in 2017-2018.  Financial Stress is the LAST thing Monica’s Family needs to be focused on.  Rallying behind them & supporting them so that they can focus on being together while they grieve is the BEST gift we can give them!! Providing for them in their time of need is how we HONOR Monica!!  No gift is too small; Every Dollar Truly DOES Count & WILL Make a Difference!!
