Mission Objective Outdoors
Our Mission is to reach out to our disabled veteran brothers and sisters by providing a means to enhance physical and emotional healing through comradery during hunting trips, fishing trips, and other outdoor activities, as well as mentorship to help ease the transition from military life to civilian life. We also work with volunteers who are non-Veterans to help us organize activities. This is just one way we feel we can give back to the men and women that protected our freedom, and to pay tribute to the ones that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Our Story
We are a group of like-minded veterans and veteran supporters that love the outdoors. Our purpose is to connect with other like-minded veterans who have a passion for the outdoors as well. We started Mission Objective Outdoors as a way to reach out to our veteran brothers and sisters and re-establish a comradery that we had while in the service. In the military we always had a mission, and mission objectives. Mission objectives have been ingrained into our psyche, and now we crave it. Our new mission objective is to challenge ourselves and others through hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. We will accomplish our mission together as a team. We have found that creating new and exciting challenges helps us grow and recover together. The problem is that not everyone understands what our military brothers and sisters have experienced. Our goal is to reach out a grab hold of our veteran brothers and sisters and move forward as a team. The struggle that we go through is real and it doesn’t have to be fought alone. Just as we fought together in the service we will continue to fight together out of the service.
Our first goal is to plan a fishing trip this summer, to Alaska, for a disabled veteran and guest. Our hope is to be able to turn this into a nonprofit and be able to reach veterans nationwide. https://www.facebook.com/MissionObjectiveOutdoors
