I am a neglect rescue case, from Atwater California. I have a severe skin disease and I am emaciated. When I am done with my treatments I can be adopted out to a forever home. Finding out what is wrong with me and the treatments will be the expensive part. Please help me.

Hi my name is Miss Heidi. Dr's think I am 2 years old. I am a German Shepherd Dog (DNA Tested). Full DNA report will be given to my adopted family as well as my complete health records. Here is my story from my POV.

I was brought in as a stray on October 18th 2015 to Merced County Animal Control, after the Officers took me to a veterinarian. This is where I got some help and started on a medical treatment plan. I still needed more help and I can only be released to another rescue agency.

On October 26th 2015 Miss Gabriel Foundation (MGF) stepped in. They arranged for a local puller, Ms Dagmar, to pick me up and transport me to Oregon to MGF. Thank you Dagmar!
10/26/2015 I am spending the night with Dagmar on my way to Oregon to MGF.
10/26/2015 My severe skin disease is taking me over.
10/27/2015 My severe skin disease is taking me over.
At MGF they will foster me and give me the 24/7 medical care I will need. They have a motto and it is "Giving a second chance to dogs who never had a first chance." MGF needs your help to make this happen.
10/29/2015 I have arrived at MGF but I cannot move off this carpet. Woods floors terrify me.

I saw my Dr (Dr Liana) on October 30th 2015. She has a medical plan she believes will help me.
10/30/2015 I cannot look at you. I am frightened.
I am emaciated and Dr Liana believes I had not been fed often. My toe nails are long and they need to be cut. My skin has a severe disease where I lost some of my hair, I have many bald patches, I smell very badly, my body is covered in scars and scabs. I am also suffering from kennel cough. I lack in muscles and I stumble a bit. My paws are also swollen. All of these are very painful and uncomfortable.
I am a little anemic from lack of food and my bleeding/oozing sores. I have wounds and scars all over my body and I am missing fur from about 1/4 of my body. My white blood cell is high due to my many infections. I am also very afraid of everything and everyone.
I had some x-rays done, vaccinations given, blood work ordered and tested for certain diseases.
10/30/15 My 1st bill is $265.00
10/30/15 My 2nd bill is $111.00

10/31/2015 I have lack of muscles, from being so emaciated, so I fell and bumped my face into the wall.
11/01/2015 Some of my nails are infected.

On November 6th 2015 I saw my Dr again. I was having pain while itching and my dew claw nail fell off. A slight change was placed in my treatment plan. Benadryl and tramadol was ordered to help me until the RX's start to work. Heart-worm preventative was ordered. My nails and ears have the skin disease eating away at them. I was getting increasingly lame on my foot. I did not know why until my dew claw nail came completely off. My skin is thin from the disease and it tears easy. The same treatment I am on for my skin disease will help my ears and nails. I will be uncomfortable until RX's start to work. I gained more weight. I need to see the DR in 2 weeks.

11/06/2015 Bacteria, fungus and yeast in my nails.
11/06/2015 Black skin disease receding the tips of my ears.

On November 13th 2015, I saw Dr Liana because both my ears are infected and I am fighting an Upper Respiratory Infection (URI). I will start that treatment. My skin is healing nicely and I am slowly gaining weight.

On November 27th 2015, I saw Dr Liana. It was time for a recheck on my progress and time for more vaccinations. I did not gain weight but my skin is still improving.

On February 4th 2016, I saw Dr Liana. Dr says I have mild allergies. She tested me for dry eyes and I was good. I was given a vaccination and a new supplement to try for my allergies. She also told me to stop by the store and try some artificial tears to help my eye draining.
I stopped by a store to try some tears.

On February 16th 2016, I am here for my spay surgery. My uterus was not where it should have been (a little higher up and smaller in size) it was removed. I also got my teeth brushed since I am still young. I was given a microchip and nails trimmed. I needed a soft e collar since the plastic e collars scare me.

On February 26th 2016, I am here for my last checkup. My surgery site is doing well. I got my vaccination shot. My eyes are ears still look good however I have a little wax build up in my right ear. Dr ordered some ear wax medication for me to try out.

I will keep getting better but only under medical treatments. My Dr visits may be frequent, at first, due to my severe condition. Diagnosing can also be costly. I hope you can find it in your hearts and pocket books to please donate to my rehabilitation and recovery. 100% of these donations go into my care.

I did not want to get this sick. I wanted to be loved and cared for. My previous owners let me get this way. My medical bills will be ongoing during my treatments to get better.
