Help Miss Bay Area BDA 2015

I am Kayla Thomas your current Miss Bay Area BDA 2015-2017. I want to tell you about my accomplishments to date.  I was an all-around student at California school for the deaf in Fremont, CA.  While a student there I was in the career technology department.   I was named Student of the year, was a member of the yearbook committee, volunteered at food various food banks and I was involved in several sports programs.  I was an honor student at the National American University.  I competed and won the Miss Deaf California in 2009-2011 pageant, I was able to advance to Miss Deaf America and placed in the top six.  I currently attend Central New Mexico Community College and upon completion I plan to enroll in University Of New Mexico this fall to completing a BA in Psychology.

            The National Black Deaf Association Conference will be in August, in Louisville, Kentucky.  I have decided to enter the competition for Miss Black Deaf America 2015.  This is an amazing event and I’m excited about the opportunity to be with my peers and present my platform to the community at large.

 As Miss Bay Area BDA  I am asking for your help to prepare for this exciting and prestigious event, all winners have great “behind the scene” supporters. I am striving to achieve a goal of $3,500 to help with entry fees, clothing, hotel, flights, coaching, registration cost, and unforeseen expenses. I would like to invite your company or yourself to be a contributor. The Miss Deaf Black America organization celebrates strong, committed women, leaders, and a role model within the youth community, I hope that you will consider supporting me as a promising delegate in my quest to become a national titleholder. I would love for you to share it with your family and friends.  Thanks again for your prayers and support.
