Misato's medical expenses

Donation protected
Misato is the best person I have ever met! She is the kindest, most giving person I have encountered aside from my own mother! She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2015, she was having neck swelling and she mentioned it to me casually on the playground when we were dropping off our kindergarteners. She said her neck and armpit hurt but she already had an appointment for a month from then.  I told her she needed to go see a doctor the next day because I also noticed under her eye was puffy on the same side her neck was swollen. She went the next day and she was shuffled off to the cancer center in Tokyo the following day. She started chemotherapy and then she had a mastectomy, a lymphectomy  followed by radiation. Her body took a beating for sure: she was having liver issues and couldn't get it under control. Fast forward to this year - she was having neck swelling and arm pain again.  She now has cancer in her shoulder, her heart and her lymphatic system. She underwent hormone therapy to slow the growth but it sped it up instead.  She is undergoing chemotherapy again which has resulted in her no longer being able to use her left arm. She is  Japanese,  lives in Yokosuka, Japan and is a former U.S. military spouse. She is the reason I ended up loving japan! She knew I couldn't walk much so she would take me to popular places in her car because I couldn't walk to the train station and then to the places I wanted to visit. She would take time out if her life with her five kids, ranging in age from 5-17 to drive me around and go on adventures! Her kids and husband are also amazing! Her husband has picked up any slack she can't carry without complaint, only with love. Her kids help and most days she pushes through immense pain to care for her family. I'm trying to raise money because her new chemotherapy drugs are much more expensive than the last round, since they are trying a new kind. This is really hard for her and her family since they are a family of 7 living on one income in Japan! They do not live in military housing and they do not get a housing allowance there since her husband isn't active duty anymore. The money raised from this campaign will go towards therapy expenses, travel to and from appointments as well as to helping Misa and her family live.  Right now she takes the train alone to the doctor to get chemotherapy because her husband cannot take time off work to go with her.  Then she rides the train home afterwards, which is a two hour train ride for her each direction. They already have a very tight budget and have taken from retirement funds to help themselves stay above water. Please consider donating anything you can to this extremely wonderful family!  Thank you so much.
