Mireya's Miracle

Donation protected
Mireya is a beautiful, sweet little girl who has an unforgettable smile and an infectious spirit. Her name means miracle and her battle over the last 24+ months proves that she is indeed a miracle.

Mireya was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia. Aplastic Anemia is a life threatening disorder in which the bone marrow fails to make enough blood cells. Aplastic Anemia is not a type of cancer but may be associated with certain cancers (especially those affecting the bone marrow, such as leukemia) or cancer treatments.

Mireya's health has dramatically improved as a result of receiving a second bone marrow transplant several months ago. Recovery usually takes up to one year. Mireya's current treatment plan requires regular monitoring and visits ensure her treatment and progress are continuing to be successful.

The Bolton family is receiving excellent medical care from the staff of VCU's Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Children's Hospital of Richmond (CHOR). Included in this level of care are co-pays, prescriptions and other associated medical expenses.

Every donation helps the Bolton's maintain their responsibility of Mireya's treatment and necessary expenses. Thank you in advance for your willingness to help! For more information or to follow the family's amazing journey you can also visit their blog at http://threeand1.blogspot.com .
